With the lure of Volkswagen and Audi looking for growth within the market, Martin then joined a newly formed Group and was soon appointed Dealer Principal of their Audi dealership at the time when Volkswagen Group were instigating brand separation. During this time Martin was chosen as one of the few Dealer Principals to be offered a place at Cardiff University to take a block release degree course in Automotive Retail Management, something he passed at a high level. This was an initiative set up bythe Manufacturers and Dealer Groups within the UK.
He then went on to run Volkswagen dealerships for fifteen years, during which time he received the coveted Gold Pin award from Volkswagen AG in recognition for consistently achieving high results.
Martin brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in the industry, which will enhance the Vantage Auto Recruitment team.
He had long held a strong desire to work within the Retail sector of the industry and in 1990 was offered the opportunity of a General Managers position within a BMW business in the South Wales area and later on in his career becoming a General Manager within a Jaguar business.
In 2005 Mike joined the world of Recruitment and with his broad knowledge and experience of the Retail and Distributor side of the industry he has been able to assist many Clients and Candidates with successful job placements, which have generally led to effective and profitable results for both parties. Mike is very much a people’s person, with a strong passion for the motor industry and a firm belief that business only succeeds when you have the right people in place, an objective that he takes very seriously when matching candidates to the client’s specific requirements.
Previously working for financial institutions, such as Lloyds Banking Group, he entered the automotive arena via the Finance & Insurance sector.As a Business Manager for a major Ford Franchise, he then moved on to Sales within a prestige environment with BMW and worked his way through the ranks, being involved with both New and Used Car Sales and Management in two of the Midlands top BMW Dealers.
In 2003, he was part of a team that won BMW Group ‘Dealer of the Year’, a coveted title that is still regarded as very prestigious.
Having spent over a decade in the Middle East, including United Arab Emirates and Qatar, Richard has experienced General Sales management with other brands such as Volvo, Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge and has also pursued several interests in the overseas property and hospitality industries.
Recently returning to what he knows and loves, he is now our Regional Director covering the Midlands and Shropshire regions.
For the past 10 years she has successfully owned and run her own retail business employing 18 staff, offering high profile training programmes, making the business very well recognised within its industry. Dawn has also worked for a major Plc as a Sales Trainer, covering Southern England, supporting 30 plus employees and meeting company standards and targets required.
Dawn also had many years experience with Reed Employment as a key account manager controlling temporary and permanent placements as well as bringing large contracts on board. Her knowledge and understanding of staff requirements and specific client needs will be an additional asset to Vantage Auto Recruitment.
His determination and drive have won him many sales awards and he was the top salesman in group for several of the years of his employment with PRG.
James fully understands how the industry works and being a people person he also knows the vital importance of marrying the right candidate to the right dealership in order to fulfil a strong and lasting relationship. James's key working areas are Surrey, and part of West Sussex where his strong local knowledge comes to the fore.
He then spent a number of years with Volkswagen in Camberley which was, at the time, a pilot Dealership for new and improved systems and procedures. Bryan helped implement a new ‘hours of business’ programme covering 12 hours a day, 6 days a week, operating two shifts, this became very successful and was then implemented across the VW brand.
Volkswagen’s Brand Separation from Audi involved setting new standards and audited Processes where Bryan consistently achieved High levels of success. Bryan also successfully completed a comprehensive Management Training programme with Volkswagen. Managing various Dealer Aftersales departments, Bryan has gained vast experience and backed with his Technical expertise will surely enhance the team at Vantage Auto Recruitment.
